Historical Boreas Pass Road provides unmatched views of Colorado's rugged Rocky Mountains. Walk, drive, or hike the 10.6 km (6.6 mi) pass to discover far-reaching views of the Blue Valley and Tenmile Range. The pass, which sits at an elevation of 3,499 m (11,481 ft), served as an early route for thousands of prospectors during the Colorado Gold Rush, and served as a railway bed from the late 1800s until 1937. Please note that a section of the road is not paved and can be rough. Ask Inspirock to suggest an itinerary and make planning a trip to Breckenridge fast, fun, and easy.
