This unique historic site is a FREE County Museum, National Register Civil War Cemetery, Information Center, and Rest Area for weary travelers on Oklahoma State Hwy 69. From local dinosaur bones and the Choctaw Indian "Trail of Tears" to tributes to homegrown talents Reba McEntire and 1987 World Champion bullrider Lane Frost, it is a great halfway stopping place between Tulsa and Dallas. Run by the Atoka County Historical Society, it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that greatly appreciates donations to keep it free and open to the public.
