Farragut State Park is a public recreation area located at the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille in the Coeur d'Alene Mountains of the Idaho Panhandle in the northwest United States. The 4,000-acre (1,600 ha) state park is five miles (8 km) east of Athol in Kootenai County, about thirty miles (50 km) northeast of Coeur d'Alene. Activities include camping, picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, cycling, fishing, boating, swimming, water sports, orienteering, disc golf, flying model aircraft, archery, and horseback riding.

    The trial map offered at the limited-service visitor center wasn't very helpful at decoding the mostly-numbered branches of the trails. We didn't know we could buy or download a better version.  more »

    While we have visited Farragut often for hiking or snowshoeing this was our first time camping there. We stayed in Snowberry Campground and really enjoyed ourselves. The sites had power and water...  more »

    Awesome park to camp in but you need to book early to get the sites you want. Also the boat launch facility is very nice and big. So if you are new to boating I would recommend it. It is a lot of less stress to get your boat in and out of the water.

    Had an absolute amazing time here camping in Gilmore loop. 5 disc golf courses, nice beach, super clean water to swim in. Great facilities hot showers and flush toilets. All sites in this loop are paved. Star gazing was outstanding. Only 10min to Silverwood. We will definitely be back.
