Sandy Creek Nature Center is a regional leader in environmental education. Walk-in visitors can enjoy our trails and natural history exhibits. Programs are available for families, school groups, scout troops, homeschoolers, and other groups. Public programming is offered for a variety of ages and on a wide range of topics. In 2012, Sandy Creek Nature Center completed a major expansion funded by SPLOST and community partnership dollars. Over 4,000 square feet were added to the Education & Visitor Center, including new exhibits and a planetarium.

I love to hike here. You can go walk all the way to Sandy Creek Park. After a rain, it's nice to walk the long paved trail instead of the muddy ones. more »

Very cool place! The kids really enjoy it! There are many cool things to do at the Nature Center. They have a little educational hike that you can take the kids on and many little educational stations for them to learn about the different regions of Georgia. My kids went here as a part a field trip for a summer camp, but I think it would even be fun to come to when its just you and your kids!
