  • We did the train game and loved it. There were definitely some clues we were mad at ourselves for missing but the game is good and there is plenty for everyone to do!  more »
  • The was our second time going. They accommodated our large party and we even broke the record for the room! We loved it. I think we’ll make a habit of it. Definitely going back!  more »

  • What an amazing experience! I have done escape rooms before, but this was the best evening yet. The Mansion was a difficult room, but NOT impossible. Great effects and great fun! And Tori was our game master which made this experience even better. She was helpful and friendly and informative. Not too informative... but enough to keep us challenged. She treated us with respect and kept us smiling. It was our 3rd wedding anniversary and we wanted to do something together and fun. Tori helped to complete our day! Thank you to Breakout, and especially Tori. You really gave us a memory we will never forget! 💜👍
  • Decent game, but nothing special. Our group of two played the Mystery Mansion, and the room is definitely showing its age. Half the props were falling apart due to how often they're handled. Hints are given over an intercom and feel like being told the answer instead of being guided past the roadblock. Immersion is hard to maintain when the first thing you see when walking into the room are some Party City plastic spiders, and we could hear music thumping in from somewhere outside. Weren't we supposed to be in an abandoned mansion? While we did manage to escape (in large part due to gratuitous intervention from the GM), it felt like a hollow victory. This was compounded by the not-really-a-request to sign in to Google and rate the game so that the GM could receive commission. I had wondered while in the room why their ratings are so high; turns out it's because they guilt trip you into rating them highly after the game. This is one of the more expensive rooms around, but the value for the money is quite poor, especially for smaller groups. I recommend anyone who can get out of downtown Asheville to find less expensive, higher quality games in the nearby area. You'll have a better time for less money.
