Tudor House Museum, Worcester

#2 of 9 in Museums in Worcester
Tudor House is a unique slice of Tudor life in the heart of historic Worcester, run almost entirely by volunteers, who stepped in to take over the running of the museum when it was threatened with closure.

Built in the early 1500s for a local cloth maker, it is now a FREE museum where you can explore the different aspects of life in the city, watch textile demonstrations, discover how the Tudors would have lived and get involved with keeping the city’s heritage alive.

Seat yourself in the 17th Century tavern or nose around the 16th Century bedroom, peak in at the ARPs office or refresh yourself in our charming coffee shop, inspired by Richard Cadbury’s work here. Tudor House brings the lost stories of Worcester’s history to life!

Open Wednesday 10:00 - 16:00

Friday 10:00 - 16:00

  • A brilliant museum we stumbled on by chance in Worcester. A free museum with very friendly, informative staff. An interactive museum and the staff encouraged the children to play with the artefacts. T...  more »

  • Very interesting, full of historic information and artifacts in old Tudor house, free entrance but well worth a voluntary contribution, helpful volunteers, lovely tea shop.
  • We came here on one of our weekends away with the kids and it was totally fascinating. There's a cafe underneath where we didn't eat but it looked gorgeous. The rooms are kept in lovely condition and you're able to see and touch the props. There's a tour guide at the door and you can leave a donation if you wish. Suggested amount is 2 pounds. It's a very short walk from the main town and car parking facilities. The car park is a nightmare if you lose your ticket they charge 25 pounds so please keep them safe. The roads are fine for the buggies and wheelchairs. There's plenty of things to see and places to eat. It's a lovely little town with some lovely shops including an old fashion sweet shop that I wish I'd have gone inside as it looked gorgeous.
