  • Amazing building, full of history, a hidden gem which is not to be missed if you are a history nut like me. Not so good on the organisational side for functions, but still an amazing venue
  • To history lovers like myself, this place is an absolute paradise. A really interesting look at the civil war, which you are driven to experience in a unique and engaging fashion. The house itself is beautiful and you really feel like you're getting your money's worth from the museum. I am not even a massive fan of civil war history, but still had an incredible time with my partner's grandmother which we both thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were all excellent as well, nothing was too much trouble and they retrieved a small sentimental item which I had lost for me. The café was also extremely pleasant. The only thing I would say is that the talk which was offered was slightly lacklustre but that did not distract greatly from our visit and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
