A ruined old abbey sitting atop the East Cliff in North Yorkshire, Whitby Abbey serves as a reminder of the area’s medieval heritage. • What a beautiful place this is. Absolutely love it here. I have been coming to Whitby for over 20 years I never have and never will get tired of seeing the Abbey. Stunning. The atmosphere here is electric. If you love history and old architecture then it's a must. The fact that it's set on the cliff tops surrounded by stunning scenery is just a massive bonus. The great thing about this place is its accessibility. The car park is right next to the Abbey. The car park has toilets and disabled access. I highly recommend a visit to the Abbey. I come here several times per year as I'm a coach driver.
  • Went for the Vikings weekend. Just brilliant. Lovely show put on by the Vikings. Living history was excellent as was the fighting between the Saxons and Norman's. Very atmospheric. Highly recommend
