Longleat, Warminster

4.4
Situated on the grounds of an Elizabethan mansion, Longleat features a collection of over 500 animals, sheltered on 3,642 hectares (9,000 acres) of Wiltshire countryside. Opened in 1966, this site was the first drive-through safari park outside of Africa. Unlike most other wildlife sanctuaries, at this location the animals roam freely, while the visitors stay within the comfort and safety of their cars. Drive through the park’s various reserves to observe wallabies, giraffes, camels, vultures, wildebeests, rhinos, elephants, pelicans, gorillas, tigers, lions, and Canadian wolves. The estate offers various special events and attractions, such as short cruises around the park’s lake, which houses a large family of sea lions. Check online for discounts and special offers. Plan your visit to Longleat and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Warminster sightseeing planner.

  • Lovely as always. A real shame that the big play area is shut which means there is nowhere at all for kids over 5 to let a bit of steam off at the moment (there is a small play area for under 5's that is lovely) but the play area is set to reopen in May and will hopefully be improved and worth the wait 😁
  • Great day out with my daughter for Mothers day and free entry for mother. Saved lots of money . Staff were friendly as always. Place so clean and well kept. New 🐨 koala area was lovely. I even held a tarantula. Highly recommended
