  • Plenty of parking pay and display (free for English Heritage Members), small castle but plenty to see inside , with great views. Noticed a few reviews having issues with accessibility , the place has small round staircases and the grounds and castle are not on one level .... but then again surely common sense will tell you that a castle built in the 1540's was not that bothered with accessibility
  • Surprisingly big castle as what you can see from the road is only a little bit of it. There are lots of steep, narrow steps from top to bottom and really nice grounds. Fantastic views across the river.
