Edradour Distillery, Pitlochry

4.2
#1 of 9 in Breweries & Distilleries in Perth and Kinross
Edradour Distillery is reputed to be the smallest distillery in Scotland. If its stills were any tinier, they would be deemed portable and possibly illegal. The Edradour ten year is chill-filtered, a process that produces a cleaner whiskey that doesn't become cloudy when ice is added to the glass. Just two or three people traditionally produce the smooth malts. One of these experts will give you a tour of the distillery for a small fee, which includes two drams and a nosing glass. • We from Erlangen, Bavaria, Germany visited Edradour on 25.10.2019 and got a great tour through the distille - thank you very much John. It was an unforgettable explanation of whiskey making. Here whis...  more »
  • Reasonable priced tour. We were given tea and coffee before the tour started, 3 whisky samples to taste and we were given the glasses and tea mugs. The facility was immaculately clean too!  more »

  • Loved this distillery tour most of the few we did on our Scottish trip. John was a fantastic and entertaining guide, really loved him. I see a lot of reviews about rude staff, but everyone we encountered was lovely. We hiked from Pitlochry through the Black Sprout Woods, which I’d definitely recommend as well!
  • I very much wanted to visit the Edradour distillery after seeing James Martin's Great British Adventure and I wasn't disappointed. It is an absolute gem of a place. I really enjoyed the tour with my guide Justine, who imparted so much knowledge on the making of whisky in this lovely little place. I watched a video showing the history whilst drinking a wee dram and was allowed to keep the glass afterwards! I loved the creamy version, great on it's own and in coffee. There is a beautiful gift shop too. Highly recommended.
