  • If you love art, you'll love this place. Admittedly, I'm very fussy on my art but there's always different exhibitions on display throughout year so do look on website. There's also permanent social history and archaeology displays which are fascinating in their own right and help you understand the local area more. On top of all this, lovely gardens to walk about, a useful shop and decent cafe.
  • My 3yr old and I spent a lovely Saturday at this excellent museum. We enjoyed the exhibitions, finding the frogs for a little prize and looking at all the social history exhibits. There was a excellent pop up art stall in the park for children where we made a lovely animal mask. The staff were really friendly, welcoming and helpful. We even indulged ourselves with a yummy cream tea in the cafe after enjoying the museum!
