  • Great place to watch the Gannets dive bomb into shoals of bait-fish whilst having a brew and a piece of cake. You have a panoramic view looking out to sea from the restaurant. The majestic and odd Bass Rock off to your left. Helpful staff and an slightly bizarre shop full of eclectic stuff. lethal if you have kids... Only 4 stars as part of it was closed when I went. So can't write about the experience section downstairs. We have family in Edinburgh and I had heard lot's about this place but had never been and i thought it was utterly charming. We had lobster and chips around the corner. Kids swimming in the sea all set against a dramatic coastline in a pretty town. If you are anywhere near or thinking of travelling out to spend a day here I would highly recommend.
  • The seabird centre itself is a nice and important source of information about the birds. Tip, Take one of the boat trips to the islands and meet the birds up close. Very impressive and full of learning moments. Sadly the cheap or free parking nearby or in town is not available in large numbers. The other parking is really expensive with prices going up to 7 pounds for 3 hours.
