  • Very enjoyable experience. Felt it could have lasted longer but then again I think everyone wants these things to last longer when they enjoy them. The inclusion of drinks was a nice touch, just wish we could have kept the jackets!!!
  • Really started off well with A.I.D.A and the whole experience. We were told we could take our phones in for pics which I did. The first challenge was tough and not really that obvious. As someone who was told nothing about what was happening I was not aware it was an escape room. I told the girl at reception I didn’t know what we were doing and that it was a birthday surprise and she said it was better I didn’t know. When the alarms starting going off I figured there was some activity but it was not obvious and the room wasn’t built to look like there were any hidden compartments to find things. The space is quite clean cut so you don’t expect to find anything hidden. I am a interior design student and also have been to a few escape rooms to be able to tell. Once we couldn’t crack the code AIDA gave it to us and we headed down a cupboard onto a slide which went so fast and was quite steep in sure it wouldn’t pass health and safety standards. I hurt my leg on the slide trying to slow myself down and it was a bit jolting. Upon entry into the second room there was a few fun things we had to figure out but also there was a lot of things to throw you off the scent. We went and were only two people so I wouldn’t recommend it as there is less brain power and more to try and find/sift through if you are a couple. Eventually we made it out of the room which was overbearing and a bit claustrophobic to the next room. A professor style actor help us ‘construct’ or gin and tonic which turned out to be a disgusting sweet concoction. Maybe because we were only two people he was quite overbearing. I took out my phone for a picture which I was told I could take images if I wanted, only to have him try and confiscate my phone like I was his child. To be fair to them I know they want you to experience it as they say but having memories for me is apart of the experience and being told he wants to smash my phone and then proceeding to bang on about it for the next five minutes was a bit straining and awkward. I felt the last cocktail was rushed and the conversation was awkward picking on you comedian style conversation. Perhaps he had nothing better to say and I felt the last little booth was a time killer and nothing really went on in there. I spoke to a friend after who said pretty much the same things as me. It was boring, she walked away with multiple bruises, the equipment wasn’t working when she went and they had to get given the codes, she’s been to way better . I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone to be honest. Get on google and get down to crystal maze! Now that’s so much fun!!!
