As well as being a purpose-built rehearsal venue for the London Symphony Orchestra, and providing a variety of spaces for the LSO's ground-breaking education and community work, the building hosts a diverse range of public performances across all genres: classical, world, jazz and more. • It is a church close to the Barbican. The LSO regularly hosts small concerts, but the stage is well visible from any seat and is ideal for recitals and small-scale music.

  • Lunchtime concert for 3 Lang Lang Mentees as part of the Leeds Piano Festival. Great space, fabulous musicians, so easy to reach from Old St Tube. Will be back.  more »

  • The venue of London Symphony Orchestra is nice and authentic. It was a church in the past but now has been transformed into a modern concert hall with taste of history. The location of this venue is perfect - next to Old Street Station. Also, it has a cafe and wheel-chair access to all levels (with lift). Highly recommended to visit!
  • LSO is a multi-purpose location catering for a spectrum of different tastes from live classical music, business conventions through to wedding receptions. The handsome, Baroque-style, church exterior (designed by Sir Christopher Wren's understudy Nicholas Hawksmoor) is contrasted by the contemporary inner-space which provides both luminosity and wonderful acoustics.
