HMS Belfast, London

4.5
Permanently moored on the River Thames, HMS Belfast is a museum ship open to the public. Access to the ship is via the footpath on the south bank of the river. A walkway connects the footpath to the ship's quarterdeck. Onboard, you'll visit nine decks all restored by the Imperial War Museum and thematically divided into three sections: a taste of seamen's daily lives; the boiler room, engine room, and communication and mechanical functions of the ship; and the admiral's bridge, operations room, and gun direction platform. In between these quartered-off sections, look for exhibits commemorating the ship's war service and personal stories of those who served aboard. • Definitely a place were you can spend a few hours. Surprisingly enough, there is an enormous amount of things to explore and learn about, let alone take wonderful pictures of the neighbouring sites of London. If you are interested in how the crew of a warship from WW1 lived aboard one of the most famous ships on earth, visit the HMS Belfast!!
  • I knew as i walked there that it was very impressive to see how ships in times of war looked like you could feel als you walked there if you were in that time period as I self love history of England this sure does fascinate me! You could really go here if you have young boys or teenage boys as they can be informed about a bit of the past. This is still quite astonishing to see as its also very cool and is a real good thing to visit as its good to see a bit of good old History.
