Gagliardi Gallery, London

4.4
#214 of 257 in Museums in London
The Gagliardi Gallery opened in 1978 in London and is one of the most established, long-standing contemporary art galleries in the city. Over the last 35 years, the gallery has maintained a strong identity and continues to build trusted relationships with its clients who range from Princes, Sheikhs and businessmen, to those who pay monthly for a painting worth under £500.

The gallery has become synonymous with quality and diversity, exhibiting a comprehensive collection of sculpture and painting characterised by its variety - from traditional Tuscan landscapes, still-life studies and intricate portraits, to the brazenly abstract and surreal.

The mentality of the gallery is unchanged over the years, providing a personal service and offering high quality art at a good price. Visitors and clients are invited into a warm environment to search through numerous artworks by over one hundred artists, some of whom just out of art school, others very established international artists with works present in some of the greatest museums in the world, such as the V & A, the Tate, the Museum of Art in Rio de Janeiro and the National Museum in Wales.

Today, we are one of the oldest contemporary art galleries in London and inextricably entrenched in the buzzing cosmopolitan parade that is the King's Road in Chelsea, one of the most prestigious and dynamic areas of London.

  • A warm and friendly gallery with an exceptionally wide a variety of works to see. The staff were so helpful and I was thrilled with my experience.
  • I don't normally leave reviews but after such a positive experience at the Gagliardi I felt compelled to. They have a really excellent range of original art and I was treated so well by Peter who spent a great deal of time with me talking through the art. He was never pushy and incredibly helpful. This family run business is a little gem on the Kings Road. I am delighted with the work that I now have. Thanks to Peter and his family! Update: I went back to the Gagliardi (15.06.2018) and was again treated to a warm relaxed and extremely enjoyable experience. It is clear that this family run business puts great emphasis and importance on having satisfied customers at the heart of their business. Peter kindly afforded me 2 hours of his time and showed me a range of unique and interesting pieces. I am delighted with the gorgeous work that I took home and am already looking forward to my next visit to the Gagliardi. Thanks again to Peter and his family.
