Sigmund Freud's home during his final year of life, today the site of Freud Museum tells the story of the famous psychoanalyst's life. Freud inhabited the home with his daughter, Anna, from 1938 to 1939, after fleeing the Nazi occupation of Austria. The house maintains much of its original layout, with rooms dedicated to Freud's study, library, hall, dining room, and Anna's bedroom. Explore the museum to learn more about Freud's life, as well as the life of Anna, who lived in the home for 44 years while continuing her father's important psychoanalytic work. Freud's study remains preserved just as it was during his life, complete with the famous couch on which his patients reclined. • It’s beautiful and you could see a lot of Freud’s collections in the reading room. If the weather is nice, the garden will open, and it’s quite good to seat there for a little while. However, since it’s not big it may then be a lit bit crowded if you visit on weekends.
  • This place gives you a sense of peace. Everything in the right place, harmony and calmness. Spend some time in Freud's garden, especially if it's a sunny day.
