Eat, drink, and shop at Borough Market, one of the largest and oldest markets in the city, which sells a variety of foods from around the globe. Spend a few hours browsing hundreds of stalls and shops offering fresh meat, fruit, vegetables, cheeses, breads, fish, spices, poultry, and seafood. This market is known for the quality of its fresh produce, and is a frequent stop for many of London’s most notable chefs, restaurateurs, and passionate amateur cooks. Chat with the friendly vendors to find out where and how their produce is grown, then proceed to one of the many cafes and restaurants located in and around the market for a hearty meal and a refreshing drink. Borough Market reviews
Much quieter for obvious reasons but this made for a much more pleasant experience. Still a mix of decent and rip off but it’s your call. Good hot food court with plenty of tasty choices. more »
This is a 'must visit' place in London and we always take our visitors here for breakfast. The buzz of the place with both locals and tourists is great to soak up. You can eat 'on the hoof' or there..... more »
I really enjoyed walking around in Borough Market. It was nice to taste different kinds of foods and drinks. I highly recommend trying the hot fruit drinks, very very tasty and warming specially in winter. The oysters are super delicious, and on the same stand you can also find amazing paella. There are much more to buy from there, from cheese, sweets, oils, herbs and much more. Highly recommended to visit Borough market!
Great atmosphere. Great number of choices of food prepared by nationals of at least thirty countries. Bringing their best. Expensive but quality all around. Try a different vendor every trip. Or take something quality home to cook up yourself. Fresh seafood. Local butcher options and of course numerous vegetarian and vegan options with amazing spices. You will want to come back.
