  • Visited here for the parkrun. The gardens and paths were well maintained and it was a pleasure to run around. The hall looks a bit unloved but is a good backdrop for the gardens.  more »

  • We all had a wonderful time today. Lots of fun and very relaxing. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
  • A great place to walk the dog. Lots of different routes and lengths of walks can be done. There's a good play area for children and they have events on throughout the year. The house itself could do with some TLC and then it would be a lovely wedding or special event venue. The cafe in the courtyard does food which is ok for a snack but why they don't open half up for dog owners is beyond me. I would say of the people we saw 95% had dogs with them and it was a cold day. If they opened one half up to let dogs in they would probably get much more custom and entice people to spend more. The courtyard could do with some care as well. Tables undercover are good for rainy days but if they added more and some greenery it would be a lovely little place. Just so much more they could do with it and I think it would bring money in to offset the cost of doing it.
