  • Well-maintained ruins, herb gardens and lots of information boards about life in the priory and also the Battle of Lewes. Very peaceful and lovely to walk around. Signposted from the station. Free to....  more »

  • This is a pleasant park on the site of Lewes Priory; one of the places dismantled by Thomas Cromhall on the orders of Henry VIII during the Reformation. There remains quite a large part of the ruins remaining of what was quite an extensivesite and guides have been installed to help get everything in perspective. Not as complete as Lewes Castle but still worth the visit,
