Cotswold Woollen Weavers has been in Filkins designing and making fine woollen cloth since 1982. We live and breathe the wool heritage that made the English Cotswolds, and draw our inspiration from the soft colours of the Cotswold landscape all around us.It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Cotswold Woollen Weavers and many more Lechlade attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Lechlade trip planner.
We believe that virtue lies in the tradition of doing things well, and that we can learn from those who went before us. (Shoulders of giants, and all that.) But we also believe that innovation is good too (and also fun) so long as it is based firmly on finding ways to do good things better.
Cotswold Woollen Weavers has a lot of wonderful stuff for sale, and that is why many of our visitors keep coming back: they recognise good design, good manufacture, and good value.
But many of our visitors are attracted by the eccentricity of the place: a tangle of wonderful 18th century buildings, full of nooks and crannies of unexpected pleasures...
A museum of textile curiosities, an Explorium full of delights you though you’d never see again (let alone to buy), a decent coffee shop where you can sit and read the papers, an orchard to laze about in the sun. It really is a special place.
In fact we are so confident that you will love Cotswold Woollen Weavers and what we make (as so many visitors have already), that we will rely on you wanting to buy something in our shop... So to visit us is ABSOLUTELY FREE. Can’t say fairer!

Had a wonderful relaxing afternoon here. Only expected to pop by for half hour but stayed for more than two hours. It's an Aladdin's cave of all sorts, not just wool, but there's certainly plenty of..... more »
Well worth a visit to see the history of weaving, stone masonry, classic woolen clothing for sale, and a cafe.
We visit whenever we are in the Cotswolds. This is a lovely place to bring visitors. Aside from the shops there is the museum and tea room as well as a garden for kids to run about in. The fabric is of really good quality. You can buy ready made clothing or the fabric and sew your own. Be warned - it is hard to leave without buying something.
