This is a must if you like history. Floors is so well looked after. The tea room is lovely and well worth a visit as is the beautiful gardens. Then the house is just brilliant. It must have been something to see the house for the first time from the spectacular drive. Just a lovely day.
What a delightful place to visit. So many beautiful rooms and fascinating artifacts. Difficult to decide on a favourite, but I really liked the drawing room with those most impressive tapestries. The guides were really enthusiastic and informative, pleased to answer questions. The gardens are beautifully cared for. The herbaceous borders quite stunning! The garden staff I spoke to were also really helpful and happy to share their expertise. They obviously take great pride in their work.
