At Claigan Coral Beach, what seems to be bright white sand or coral is actually small bits of sun-bleached algae that makes up a stunning shoreline. Located on the Isle of Skye near the Dunvegan Castle, this alluring beach is rarely crowded, as it's a bit off the beaten path. The beach lends itself to long, leisurely strolls, so take your time wending your way down its rugged coast. You could also extend your visit by exploring the other beaches here, which locals call "wee gems." To visit Claigan Coral Beach on your trip to Isle of Skye, use our Isle of Skye day trip site .

You leave the car to a free parking lot and walk for about a quarter of an hour, the path is easy. We continued to the interesting Dunvegan Castle and to finish the incredible lighthouse of Neist Point. A busy, but wonderful day.
Après une agréable petite marche qu’elle n’a pas été notre surprise de découvrir cette eau turquoise et cette plage de corail blanc. more »After a pleasant little walk it was not our surprise to discover this turquoise water and this white coral beach.
If you go to Skye this is a must! We went late November, it was a beautiful day and the walk from the car park was not bad at all. The beach itself is beautiful, it really looks like a white sandy beach! We brought some sandwiches and had a great time. Because we went late afternoon we had the joys of seeing the causeway appear given us the ability to walk to the little island and back. It was truly an amazing experience
A truly magical place, perfect for a family picnic and maybe a swim. The beach is made from crushed white coral like seaweed that makes the water look tropical blue when the sun comes out. The walk down to the beach is easy going along a farm track and takes about 25 mins to get to the beach. The return is that same route back to the carpark giving a walk total of 3.6km and 45 minutes.
