Falls of Kirkaig, Inverkirkaig

A hike to Falls of Kirkaig provides you with the opportunity to see a wide variety of trees and other plants, as well as some rare birds, such as the cuckoo and the golden eagle. The cascade is about 20 m (65 ft) high, with the water collapsing into the river of the same name. Make sure you wear shoes with thick soles, as the hiking trail can get rocky and slippery.   • We did this walk in the pouring rain and my children aged 9and 12 loved it! Not the easiest of walks and for anyone who finds walking at a pace and over rough and different terrain they might find it ...  more »
  • Nice walk, fairly easy to do for inexperienced hikers. And the effort is rewarded with a magnificent view of the waterfall.

  • Lovely walk in, about an hour. Great views and the falls were epic when we arrived. It is a bit of a climb / scramble to get to the very bottom of the falls so we stopped half way down and ate our lunch.
