  • A most unusual place to visit. I believe the largest of its kind in the whole of Britain. Interesting talk by the curator, cheap entry fee too! Well worth taking a look at a natural phenomenon. Recommended...
  • Originally a Saxon Church, then Norman. Crypt contains a thousand plus skulls (some with fatal battle injuries). Brought from surrounding graveyards and some perhaps from the site of a nearby battle with Danish pirates (all killed?). Open for several hours each day, £2.00 admission.Well worth a visit. Will be of interest to medical and dental people and of course pathologists. The largest Ossuary in the UK.
