  • Great venue for "getting away from it all" with excellent views and friendly staff. Spa facilities are good, if slightly dated in places, but selection and quality of treatments mean it doesn't disappoint. Features a choice of venues to eat which should suit most. Rooms generally good although need a little tidying up in places. Definitely could recommend for a spa break!
  • Great golf course but the clubhouse, the Claret Jug, is very worn and tired. I bought a pulled beef sandwich which contained the least amount of pulled beef you could possibly imagine. I mentioned it to the staff but it fell on stony ground. The hotel is also in desperate need of refurbishment but the staff are pleasant enough. The evening meal was very nice in the restaurant and the waiting staff were very pleasant, especially Mattie. I would play golf here again but would not stay in the hotel.
