  • Firstly I would like to add that I was at one time a volunteer at this museum and had to leave due to ill health which is only one reason, there are others anyway to the museum l worked very hard in getting there new exhibition hall up and running with other volunteers and end results are great you will find a extremely rare artifact in the new hall there are only six left in the world there are also loads of very interesting items on view, a few of the volunteers are very knowledgeable and will answer any questions. Ok there is a small entrance fee but it is a little gem and well worth it, now if you are there for a long period you can get something to eat and drink at one of two place's on site one has a bar, so if you want to visit please do. They do need support to keep this little museum up and running. If you have visited already thank you.
  • A fantastic museum protecting the memory of the Battle of Britain, the last war battle to take place in the UK. The Rolls Royce Merlin engines in there are fascinating as are the other exhibits. £2 is nothing really and as time goes on collections like this will become more valuable as that generation who saw the horrors of war will no longer be here to tell their story, places like this will pick up the baton. Looking forward to my next trip.
