  • Absolutely brilliant! A must for Brontë fans and interesting to any lover of literature. Tickets cost £9 for adults but they are valid for 12 months so can be used multiple times.
  • My third visit to the Brontë Parsonage, and I'm certain it won't be my last. This time I took the opportunity to take lots of photos. (My previous two visits were made before I had a smartphone!) Flash photography is not permitted, but there was enough light anyway. The guides are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. The house contains a lot of the family's actual belongings, which makes it an even more interesting and poignant experience. There is also an extra exhibition area which contains more of their belongings and a lot of v.interesting information about their lives and works. At the time of this visit there was a extra exhibition about health and illness/ailments which was very poignant, considering the short lives of all members of the family except Reverend Brontë, who outlived all his six children. There is a shop to the side of the house which is where you buy tickets. You can gift aid, and the ticket can be used for repeat visits for a year. Can't recommend it highly enough.
