Enniskillen Castle, situated beside the River Erne in County Fermanagh, was built almost 600 years ago by Gaelic Maguires. Guarding one of the few passes into Ulster, it was strategically important throughout its history. In the 17th century it became an English garrison fort and later served as part of a military barracks.Using our custom trip planner, Enniskillen attractions like Enniskillen Castle can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

Enniskillen Castle Reviews
Die Burg und das Museum sind sehr sehenswert. Highly recommended is the Offer Museum+Tea+Boats Tour, which can be solved at the museum box office: entrance to the museum, tea and scone in the museum café and a 90-minute boat trip to the monastery island of Devenish Island. The evening tour at 5 p.m. is the most beautiful when you experience the ruins of the monastery in the silence of the dusk.
Found the staff helpful, the displays well done. Suitable for anyone interested in the history of the region more »
Great to see the history and such at this historic site. I'd you're into military history, this is the place for you. If you just want to see a castle, you'll be probably disappointed, as this place has been upgraded throughout the years. There is a decent amount of the "old" castle left to be seen, however. Good place to visit if you're in the area, but questionable if going out of your way is worth it. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Stopped for continental market that was held there. Even though it was very busy, was able to get a free parking spot in the car park beside. Place is well kept and clean and this was on a very busy day
