  • Quick visit with my son, he was a fan of the whole place, but the model railways inside a railway carriage were a big hit. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We were also amazed by the well beneath the old pump house - a surprise to us as we weren't aware of the history of the site. Really interesting, thanks Terry for the tour and answering our many questions!
  • Honestly, my wife and two boys had the most lovely time here. The volunteers are so friendly and helpful. We spent most of our time on the top floor with the games, toys, typewriters and air raid siren. Some absolutely stunning cars (the 1970 Capri being my personal favourite) and some fascinating pieces of British engineering on display. The train carriage with the model railway layout and the enthusiasm of the volunteers have inspired my 9 year old and I to build a layout. The well in the basement is magical (but quite eirie) and the food in the cafe very tasty and reasonably priced. A fantastic way to spend a couple of hours. Thoroughly recommend.
