IWM Duxford, Duxford

A British Concorde, Spitfire, and Lancaster are among the over 200 international aircraft at IWM Duxford, Britain’s largest aviation museum. Housed on a former Royal Air Force airfield, the museum also has tanks, military vehicles, and naval vessels, including two midget submarines from World War II. A Battle of Britain exhibit is located in an original 1917 Belfast. A museum within a museum, the strikingly modern American Air Museum honors the 30,000 U.S. airmen who died flying from UK bases during World War II, as well as those who fought in battles since then.
