    Quiet village location for a previously undiscovered gem. Car park beside castle belongs to village and even has free open public toilets. Castle and gardens larger than you might think but plenty to climb around or just walk round the gardens. Village pub across the road is very handy.

    The 14th century castle ruins is set amongst the well maintained, beautiful gardens. The staff are friendly and very helpful. You feel immersed in the history. Be prepared for a lot of steps. Well worth a trip.
