  • Really interesting collection of old locos & quarry machinery all linked to ironstone quarrying in Rutland. Small cafe & exhibits mostly undercover so rainy days are no problem. Entrance from main road hard to find due to lack of signage and car park a bit bumpy. Enthusiastic volunteers really embellish the history & add to the interest. Once a month you can have a go at driving one of the diesel engines for just £5. Well worth a visit & great for children too.
  • Boys and I had a lovely time at the open day today. Lots of engines to see. Very friendly bunch and a ride on a steamy too. Brightened up a rainy day. Cheers
