  • Before we came, We couldn’t answer simple questions about the Romans, now we can! Great displays, from terrific mosaics to brooches, displays of a kitchen, how the Romans lived, plans of Cirencester.....  more »
  • I've been back so it must be alright! They've obviously suffered with Covid so it's not as good as usual but still interesting stuff there.  more »

  • Recently visited this museum with the family including our 13 year old daughter. We were all very impressed! The exhibits were first class and were showcased in a clean and modern environment. Information and exhibit use and time lines were both informative and easy to understand. The museum is spilt into areas and each area flows well into another. There are interactive features in each area and these helped to enhance understanding and made the exhibits more relevant to younger visitors. We were particularly impressed with the area showing Roman tombstones. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for their work. I felt this museum easily rivals many of the more famous ones. We shall definitely be returning soon.
  • Lots of very interesting exhibits and well laid out. The large mosaics are very impressive. Very reasonable entry fee.
