  • Arriving in Cirencester without reservation at an early afternoon, we accepted the offer of this hotel although exceeding our usual budget. The room was very large with four-poster bed. The correct sized bathroom with modern shower. The room overlooking the back we slept very well (the street being one way, I think there doesn't have to be much traffic at night anyway). Breakfast, included in the price, was gargantuan and cooked to demand. So no regrets about having paid more than usual.

  • Recently visited this museum with the family including our 13 year old daughter. We were all very impressed! The exhibits were first class and were showcased in a clean and modern environment. Information and exhibit use and time lines were both informative and easy to understand. The museum is spilt into areas and each area flows well into another. There are interactive features in each area and these helped to enhance understanding and made the exhibits more relevant to younger visitors. We were particularly impressed with the area showing Roman tombstones. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and clearly had a passion for their work. I felt this museum easily rivals many of the more famous ones. We shall definitely be returning soon.
  • Lots of very interesting exhibits and well laid out. The large mosaics are very impressive. Very reasonable entry fee.
