Carding Mill Valley, Church Stretton

The National Trust manages over 2,000 hectares of the Long Mynd in the Shropshire Hills. The Long Mynd is within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is an important place for wildlife, geology, landscape and archaeology.

There is loads to do when you get here; at Carding Mill Valley we have our tea-room and shop and here is the perfect place for families to relax, paddle in the stream and start a walk. Don't worry if the weather is bad, there's still loads to do from den building, to building a dam across the stream, just throw your wellies on and enjoy the great outdoors.

For any hardier walkers, cyclists and horse riders; Carding Mill Valley is a great starting off point, park up then head up into the hills and find your own special piece of solitude, there are miles of footpaths and bridleways across the hill to explore.
