  • We did this walk and although we would not recommend this for small children it was a lovely walk with the baby in our backpack. Beautiful views and landscape.  more »

  • Llanbadrig Church sits at the end of lane on the dramatic coastline that sits to the immediate west of Cemaes Bay. Word is that the patron saint of Ireland was shipwrecked on the island that lies offshore, and having made it to land here, he opportunely capitalised on a spring which is now buried by rockfalls and built this church in celebration of the Good Lord's favour.
  • Fascinating history. Pope Celestine supposedly sent the then Bishop Patrick to convert Ireland. This spot on the coast near Cameas Bay is where he was shipwrecked. In gratitude to God for his survival he built a small church here in 440 AD. Llanbadrig is Welsh for Church of St Patrick. The present stone church was erected in more recent Centuries. Beautiful costal views.
