Originally a small family park, Oakwood Theme Park now offers large thrill rides and colorfully themed areas. If you're an adrenaline-seeker, hop aboard Megafobia. Many enthusiasts rate the 26 m (85 ft) tall wooden roller coaster among the best in Europe. On Speed, let out a scream as you take a 97-degree plunge on Britain's first Euro-Fighter roller coaster. Somewhat tamer pleasures await on waterslides and the swinging pirate ship. Head to the Neverland area for rides and attractions based on the world of Peter Pan. The park offers a handful of dining facilities serving up fish and chips, pasta, burgers, and chicken. Check the weather before your visit, as rides occasionally close due to high winds, thunder, or lightning. Plan your visit to Oakwood Theme Park and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Narberth trip itinerary builder.
Oakwood Theme Park reviews
My friend and I visited Oakwood in August, and whilst the park itself was a little disappointing, our day was saved by a member of staff operating the megafobia ride! We managed to get their name... more »
Used to come to Oakwood every year with family in the summer. As years have gone on it’s gotten more and more tired, but having not been in years now it was very evident that it’s not being... more »
Fun time had by the whole family. Free parking and easy to find. The tickets when we went were £35 for two tickets with opening times of 10-1630. The queue times for each ride were outstanding. Less than 5 minutes for any ride even the big roller coasters. The drinks were expensive at £2.65 for a bottle of diet coke. Easy to take your own picnic and lots of places to sit and eat. All in all a great day out for the family. Fond memories from my childhood. Only thing to be aware is the minimum height for most rides set to 1.2m (120cm) and they are suitably strict with this so my little lady at 1.1 was denied on safety reasons.
Visited with my kids age 15 and 12. Have been several times before though not for a few years. Used my 'kids pass' to get the 12 year old in free. We arrived early and expected queues but were pleasantly surprised. There were no queues all day. We stayed 6.5 hours. The park is kept spotlessly clean, the staff and friendly and helpful. The whole park looks well cared for with some pretty flowers and plants. There's an additional ride and a new attraction. Bounce is still being repaired and is scheduled to open this year. It's a park with something for everyone. There are eating places, indoor and outdoor picnic areas. There are discounts to be had by booking online - and you don't have to select a day. There's also a phone line so you can see if any of the major rides aren't working. Be warned if you have mobility issues, there's quite a few Holly bits.
