North Laine, Brighton

#2 of 7 in Neighborhoods in East Sussex
Neighborhood · Shopping
Once a slum, North Laine is now a thriving cultural quarter. The most popular activity in the area is shopping, with cafe-hopping and theatergoing coming in as close runners-up. Recognizable boutiques reside next to funky secondhand stores and local shops. Both tourists and locals frequent these shops to keep themselves at the height of fashion on the coast of Brighton. Come ready to hunt for treasures at the many architectural salvage, used-book, music, and antique shops that fill the streets.
