Cotswold Motoring Museum, Bourton-on-the-Water

4.6
Discover an extensive collection of motoring memorabilia and toys from the 20th century at Cotswold Motoring Museum. The museum features a large collection of vintage and classic cars and motorcycles, campers, and original enamel motoring signs. Listen for period music as you peruse photos and items from past eras, most notably the extensive toy collection. Housed in the museum is "Brum," from the popular BBC children's television series; you can make a brass-rubbing of the car as a souvenir. The museum also displays periodically changing motoring exhibitions. Don't be fooled by the appearance: The museum is much larger than it seems from the outside. • A great deal of exhibits available in a relatively small area. There are about seven rooms packed to the roof with everything from cameras, toys, bicycles, motorcycles, cars and motoring memorabilia. All of the displays have full descriptions with them and there is a clear trail to follow. It all starts and finishes at the gift shop. It is well worth a visit.
  • Very interesting museum albeit quaint. The owners have crammed a lot in a relatively small place but don't be put off visiting as it's a real trip down memory lane with vintage cars, caravans, toys to chopper pushbikes. Entry fee is very reasonable although no parking is onsite, you will need to find local parking nearby.
