#1 of 9 in Parks in Blackpool
Home to over 1,500 mammals, birds, reptiles, and invertebrates, Blackpool Zoo sits on 13 hectares (32 acres) of land surrounded by trees, lakes, and lawns. The zoo shelters elephants, giraffes, sea lions, gorillas, orangutans, camels, and zebras, to name just a few. Newly added in 2011, Children’s Farm allows families with kids to encounter and feed donkeys, sheep, and goats. One of the zoo’s most popular attractions is Dinosaur Safari, a walk-through area with over 30 life-size statues of extinct animals, with fiberglass models of Tyrannosaurus rex and the woolly mammoth. Check online for special events and discounts on advance tickets. Blackpool Zoo is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Blackpool Edition.

  • Very good, small in comparison to Chester First visit here with children and grandchildren. Good on line price discounts, as I paid prior to visiting online. Easy to use website and app. Zoo was well laid out and had different and varied animals who were well cared for. Place was clean, tidy and snacks were relatively inexpensive. Well worth a visit. Lovely to see Gorillas.
  • Amazing experience. Being so up close and personal with all of the animals. Well looked after zoo will brilliant staff. All the animals are easily viewable even though the animals ave a good amount of space to roam free. We will definitely go again.
