City Hall, Belfast

4.6
The central location and gardens of City Hall attract workers on their lunch breaks, as well as students seeking a patch of green between classes. The gardens are full of statues and memorials commemorating various historical figures and events, including a statue of Queen Victoria, a granite column paying homage to the American Expeditionary Force, and a Titanic memorial. The building itself still operates, so much of it is closed off to the public, but the facade is worth a photo. Take a stroll through the gardens, or join the ranks on the benches with your lunch. Put City Hall into our Belfast planning website and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • We arrived by chance and loved it. We did the guided tour (in English) and it is worth every moment of the one-hour tour... And on top of that it's free!

  • An impressive building, steeped in history. Visitors are free to wander inside and meander through a number of rooms containing various artefacts relating to Belfast's history. A worthwhile use of around an hours time if you needed an overview of the city. Centrally located, near to bars and restaurants, the building is also eye-catching at night when lit up.
  • Beautiful building. Excellent architecture. Unlike many popular city centres it's free for public. The night view of the city centre is particularly attractive and love the picture..
