Exotic animals roam the manicured fields and enclosures of Folly Farm, bringing a slice of more tropical locations to southwest Wales. Originally opened in1988 as a farm, the facility has grown to include a zoo and an indoor vintage carnival. The prime animal attractions of the zoo are the towering giraffes and the strolling penguins, two species that always enjoy popularity among zoo-goers. Folly Farm reviews
THis is a great place to go with children if you are in the area - good on a rainy day too. Finish up with a nice trip down the estuary to Lawrenny for a pub meal at the Lawrenny Arms or a pint at... more »

So much better than I expected! Huge site beautifully laid out and maintained to a very high standard. Zoo gives the animals space and dignity and encourages conservation. However our highlight was the indoor funfair. Like stepping back into the late 50s - fabulous collection of well remembered rides all superbly conserved and working well. I grew up in Nottingham around this time and many of the rides featured in our famous Goose Fair. A ride on the Caterpillar brought back many happy memories! There was so much to see and do we could have returned the following day...we visit many of this type of park with our grandchildren and this was easily the best for attractions and value for money.
This is the second time I've been to Folly Farm... it's very very good to see that they are continually making improvements to everything! The animals all look healthy and happy, with plenty of information on each animal present. The barn is happily interactive with very friendly and child happy animals. Lots to do for the children as well... of all shapes, sizes and ages! I'm 28 and found plenty of fun rides to go on! Lots outdoors, plenty free to do with the ones that are charged (mostly the original older rides) being nice and cheap... it's still easy to sink lots of money into the rides though!!! Highly recommend this as a place to go... either as a family or just as adults... easily a day spent here.
