  • Can be a bit muddy, but it's a nice quiet place mainly, although it can get busier, but people are generally pleasant. More dog poo than normal has been noticed by us through lockdown, which with a...  more »
  • A lovely haven in deciduous woods. Plenty of public footpaths and bridleways. The car park is very small so can get very busy at peak times. It’s a shame the wood is not bigger but you can still escape the bustle of the towns here. Oh, and as there are bridleways-watch out for horse poo!
  • Nice woodland trails. Various different lengths, well marked. We went on the longest trail but we completed it quite a bit quicker than they suggested on the board, even without rushing. The bluebells were nice, but wilting and starting to die already. It was quite busy on the day we went on the back holiday Monday
