Artique at The Marina, Amble

An antique shop with a cafe attached. Fresh food served, made by the owners. Beautiful sandwiches. Lovely cup of tea and to die for cakes. The antique shop has modern to old, handmade and some items that you'd never think of. A great place to look round, either before or after a cuppa.

When we arrived the cafe was full and there was lots of great looking cakes and scones on the counter so we had a look around the antique centre my wife saw quite a few things that she would like but luckily we didn't have the room in our motorhome Phew or fat wallet would have taken a beating. When we actually managed to get in to the cafe the gannets sorry I mean previous customers had practically scoffed the lot well it was late afternoon. The coffee was made just how I like it which is very strong and the flapjack was among the best I've ever tasted. I must get in early next time to sample the Lemon Meringue which by all accounts is to die for. Thanks for putting up with us. Barry and Marilyn
