  • Verteba is a plaster cave in the Territory of the Ternopol region. Ukraine. It is located 2 km northwest of the village of Bilche-Golden. The name of the cave comes from the ancient Slavic "vertep" meaning a cave, a ravine. The length of the underground passages is 9,021 m (according to other data - 8550 m). In the cave of Verteba, scientists first mentioned the cave in 1822, and scientists discovered a huge number of archaeological finds from the Eneolithic era, the results of which suggest that the cave was visited by people in ancient times. Since 2010, Verteba has been part of the Dniester Canyon National Natural Park.

  • It's not easy to find because it's in the middle of nowhere, then you find a giant amphora and there's a hollow next to it that leads to the entrance, really characteristic, to see.
