During the 16th century, Drake used this location to watch for Spanish ships leaving with their cargo before attacking them in his crown-sponsored piracy.   • What a view. A tour to just see this spot ? No, probably would not book that trip. It is a bench along side a major road with an AWESOME view north of the island. But, with a car, I would be sure.....  more »
  • The view here can only be seen with your own eyes. The pictures do not do it any justice. Plan a short trip here, even on your way to and from the airport. Its absolutely breathtaking!  more »
  • This is a scenic overlook, a vista for an island photograph. It has a small parking lot along a narrow road following the ridge top. There is a park bench on the uphill side of the road which serves as a standing for the "seat." It is possible that some of Drake's crew members had an observation point near here but do you think Sir Francis himself climbed up that height?
  • The beauty alone is really a breath of fresh air .. Especially looking down on Magen's Bay Park from there.. Early in the morning is a good time to come as the sun is raising.. You can see the Atlantic ocean and the British Virgin Islands also . The evenings offers a romantic lane setting in or out of the car. Just bring your camera and dinner...
