The Bight Park Reviews
Good food options and lot of local artisans. The music needs to improve though. Some interesting items were removing of the fresh conch from its shell for the salads and pineapple filled with cocktail... more »
We went early right when the fry started and ordered some conch fritters (YUM!). We walked around to all the local vendors and were able to find some great souvenirs! It was getting pretty crowded and... more »
The natives usually call it FISH FRY. It is usually held every Thursday. A live native band usually provides entertainment for listening and dancing pleasure. Food vendors provide all of the native dishes - seafood mainly. The craft vendors provide local craft items for sale. You can't do without the native drinks. a lovely place to be on Thursdays from about 5pm - 10pm.
Went down here for the Thursday Night Fish Fry. It was a very cool atmosphere, however the people we were with and ourselves got food from multiple vendors and it was only ok. The small stores for shopping were very cool and fun with some of them having some fun items. Conch shells are a big seller however you can definitely find them on your own. Be advised there is only a handful of places to sit here of you are going to eat. Also park on the street up the road instead of down by the park or you will be forced to stay as cars come down and double park beside you preventing you from leaving. This is worth experiencing however unless you plan on staying to get wasted and dance you probably won't be here long.
