I visited Göbekli Tepe, Urfa, Halfeti, Mardin, Midyat, Dara and the surroundings, in September 2020. Thanks God I didn't come in the summer! It was very warm. I bought a day trip from a local agency..... more »

Midyat is not for the picky tourist types. Very few locals speak English (please learn some Turkish phrases...they appreciate any attempt). Also not much information in the form of maps or brochures..... more »
