  • The Church of Santa Maria in Draperis is located in the southernmost part of Istiklal Caddesi, not far from the most famous and visited Church of Sant'Antonio. This is definitely more trimmed and just as hidden. Like all non-Muslim cult buildings it has no domes and is not visible from the outside; From the street you don't notice it. You pass through a gate and to access the church you descend a staircase that goes into a crypt. But it's a church. In the middle of the façade, which is gray in color, there is an image of Christ on a cloud with a gold background. In church are called Masses in various languages; The sign is not very up to date and some masses that should be in the X language of fact are officiated in several languages. With some distinction. The Sunday of the 10th mass is all in Korean. Many Korean Catholics who come here; I never would have believed that our religion in Korea was so widespread. And the Sunday evening Mass is in Spanish language.

  • Despite entering Istiklal Street, the church remains under the road due to code difference. I especially find it convenient to visit the churches around Taksim on Sunday mornings. The closed ones are open because of the ritual. This church has an interesting Korean community. Sunday mornings before the Italian, the ritual of the Korean community is done. Here's the market schedule. 09.00: Italiano (Capella) 10.00: Korean-English 11.30: English 18.30: Español is a classic Catholic church. It's a little dark and it's high.
